Speakeasy Clothing Co ("Speakeasy", "we", "us") runs two clothing stores in San Diego: 952 Garnet Ave in Pacific Beach and 3911 30th St in North Park, and the website speakeasyclothingco.com. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
- Email signups. When you join our list on this website, we collect your email address and the date you signed up.
- In-store purchases. Payments are processed by Square. If you give your email or phone number at checkout (for example, for a digital receipt), Square stores it in our customer directory along with your purchase history with us. We never see or store your full card number.
- Website usage. We use Google Analytics to understand how people use the site: pages viewed, buttons tapped (such as directions, call or review), the site or ad that sent you, device type and approximate location (city level). It uses cookies. We do not send your name, email or phone number to Google Analytics.
- Embedded content. Our homepage shows our Instagram feed through a third-party widget (Elfsight), which may set its own cookies.
How we use it
- To send you new-arrival alerts, deals, event invites and store news you signed up for, and to honor offers such as a welcome discount.
- To occasionally email past customers about the stores. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and we stop as soon as you use it.
- To run and improve our stores, website and listings, and to measure whether our promotions work.
We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing.
Service providers
We use trusted providers to run the business, and they process information only on our behalf: Square (payments and customer directory), Google (Analytics, Search Console and Business Profile), Netlify (website hosting), Gmail and email-sending tools (customer emails), and Elfsight (Instagram feed).
Business tools connected to Google
We connect our own Google accounts to internal tools that help us manage our Google Business Profile listings, read and respond to reviews, and measure search and website performance. Information received from Google APIs is used only to operate Speakeasy's own listings and website, is not sold or used for advertising, and is not shared except with the service providers above. Our use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Your choices
- Unsubscribe from emails using the link in any email, or by emailing us.
- Access or delete the information we hold about you by emailing speakeasy.clothing.co@gmail.com. We will respond within 30 days.
- Cookies: you can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or use Google's Analytics opt-out add-on.
How long we keep it
We keep your email and purchase history while you remain a customer or subscriber, and delete it on request unless we must keep a record for legal or accounting reasons.
Children
This website is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will post the new version here with a new effective date.
